  • With the Expo 2020 and the expectation of the government to double its annual visitor numbers from 10 million in 2012 to 20 million in 2020, there is a huge need to transform Dubai into an accessible and disabled friendly city.
  • AED 10 million invested only to work on the study of the “Dubai Code” demonstrate a commitment to bring about improvement through regulation and implementation of best practice.
  • Leadership have demonstrated commitment to rights from Federal Law No. (29) in 2006 followed by Law No. (2 and 3) in 2014 that created the "Higher Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the Emirate of Dubai" involving the main Dubai authorities, namely TEC, CDA, RTA, DM.
